Bob Parsons Sets Roots in Scottsdale

Bob Parsons, GoDaddy founder, businessman, and philanthropist is moving mountains in our local Arizona community.

In 2013 Parsons bought Golf Club Scottsdale, now renamed Scottsdale National, along with hundreds of adjacent acres of North Scottsdale property. His grand vision is to add a new 18-hole championship course, a Par 3 practice course, and overnight lodging for members on 650 acres next to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Parsons was later criticized for imposing a set of new strict regulations to the club. Now, members are capped at 30 plays per year. Parsons is pushing quality over quantity in his exclusive North Scottsdale paradise. Parsons has become known for his real estate ventures in Scottsdale, and has proven to be an extraordinary philanthropist as well. Last year at Bob's Biker Blast, he donated $1 million to Phoenix Children's Hospital. This was the largest amount raised for the hospital through an event hosted by an outside organization. In May, he donated $100,000 in honor of fallen Phoenix Police officer David Glasser. Today, his foundation announced they will match all donations up to $10 million, to Semper Fi Fund in its mission to raise funds to assist wounded, critically ill and injured post-9/11 service members and their families.

Givepad, a local charitable real estate company, is striving to meet or beat the types of donations made by Bob Parsons by helping buyers and sellers find their perfect homes, at no cost to either party. Givepad is in partnership with Phoenix Children's Hospital to raise funds for their 60+ medical specialty programs and will be making continuous financial and in-kind contributions with every home sale.
